One of the names some fans have been tossing around for the role of Finnick Odair in Catching Fire is Zac Efron. Some may not agree he’d do a great Finnick, but meanwhile MTV raised the subject in an interview with the actor during promotion of his latest film, The Lucky One.

When I told Zac that his name has been mentioned by fans in the same breath as Finnick, it was obvious he hadn’t heard anything about it, but he was also intrigued to hear that fans thought highly enough of him to be considered for the role. He also has some catching up to do because he admitted that he’s only read Suzanne’s first book so far.

“I have. I read the first book and really liked it,” Zac said when asked if he was at all familiar with dystopian story. “I’m about to go see the movie. I might go see it tonight. You can’t get tickets in L.A. I know it’s going to be an amazing film,” he said. “I’m very excited.”
