Walmart and Target to offer exclusive Hunger Games DVD and Blu-ray editions

Posted on by

As we reported before, The Hunger Games will be available in DVD and Blu-ray on August 18. Just like they have done for other mainstream releases (the Twilight saga for example) Walmart and Target are offering exclusive editions of the home video release. Walmart will have a combo pack which includes 2 Blu-rays (with the same content included in the standard editions), a Digital Copy, a Mockingjay Pendant and exclusive content. The exclusive content, which will be downloadable from VUDU with a code that will be in the package, consists of the featurettes The Stunts of the Hunger Games and Capitol Couture: The Styles of Panem. You can now pre-order this special edition on Blu-ray and DVD.

But attention! That’s not everything Walmart has to offer. They are offering fans the opportunity to attend the Catching Fire Premiere just for pre-ordering the DVD or Blu-ray. And that’s just the grand prize, you can also win replicas of Katniss’ jacket, backpacks and pin sets. Find more information here.

Also, Target has put up for pre-order a Deluxe Limited 3-Disc Edition in DVD; it will include the exclusive features Stories From the Cornucopia, Tribute Video Diaries, Biographies and Photo Album. It is now available for pre-order.

So, until now, which edition is looking the best to you?
