Deadline is letting us know that Lionsgate has offered the role of head gamemaker Plutarch Heavensbee in Catching Fire to actor Philip Seymour Hoffman. Jeff Sneider, from Variety, also confirmed the information on his Twitter account.

Philip Seymour Hoffman won an Academy Award for Best Actor in 2005, for his leading role in the movie Capote. While is true that he’s been offered the role, it remains to be seen whether he’ll accept it or not.
