Josh Hutcherson

Joshua Ryan Hutcherson was born October 12, 1992 in Union, Kentucky (USA); son of Michelle and Chris Hutcherson, he has a younger brother, Connor. He’s home schooled and animal lover. The family owns two dogs (Diesel and Nixon) and two cats; he recently adopted a Blue Pit puppy which he named Driver. Hutcherson made his screen debut very young in a TV film called Becoming Glen, at the age of 10.

Josh started getting good critics and nominations for his performances since the beginning. In 2003, he got two nominations from the Young Artist Award, for Best Performance in a Feature Film and Best Performance in a TV Movie, for his work in American Splendor and Wilder Days, respectively.

Though his most memorable movie may be Bridge to Terabithia (2007), in which he played a tender, imaginative young boy, his most praised movie to date is The Kids Are All Right, a 2010 film where he starred alongside Annette Bening, Julianne Moore and Mark Ruffalo; playing a teenage boy who decides to find the sperm donor who allowed her lesbian mothers give birth to him and her sister. His performance on this movie gave him multiple award nominations, including nods from the Broadcast Film Critics Association and the Screen Actors Guild.

Now, Josh Hutcherson is Peeta Mellark in The Hunger Games.
