Jennifer Lawrence

Jennifer Shrader Lawrence (known to friends and family as “Jenn”) was born August 15, 1990 in Louisville, Kentucky (USA); daughter of Karen and Gary Lawrence, has two older brothers, Ben and Blaine, and a sister-in-law, Meredith. At the age of 14, Lawrence had already decided she wanted to be an actress and, alongside her mother, traveled to New York City in search of a talent agent. Jenn got great appraisal in a couple of cold reads she did, which lead to agents convincing her mother to let her spend the summer in the City.

Jennifer Lawrence made a couple of TV films and TV show episodes during 2006-07, but her first recurring role arrived in 2007 in the comedy The Bill Engvall Show, where she played the character of Lauren Pearson until the cancellation of the show three seasons after (in 2009).

Lawrence landed a few more minor roles in following years, until 2010 where she delivered a breakout performance as Ree Dolly in the film Winter’s Bone. Her highly acclaimed performance received tons of nominations from different associations across the world, including an Oscar nomination for Best Actress from the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences, and a Best Actress in a Motion Picture Drama Golden Globe nomination.

Now, Jennifer Lawrence is Katniss Everdeen in The Hunger Games.
