Josh Hutcherson talks his film ‘Red Dawn’, distributor releases first official still
In 2009, Josh Hutcherson filmed along Chris Hemsworth (Thor), brother of Liam, a remake of the 1984 Cold War movie Red Dawn. Unfortunately, the release of the film had been pushed back over and over again, until this year that MGM announced they would move forward with the promotion of movie, and stablished November 21, 2012 as the release date of Red Dawn. Hollywood.com released today the first two official stils of the movie, featuring Josh on one of them (see above).
Also, Hutcherson talked to USA Today about fighting an entire army with only two people on your side. “Well, we are fighting an entire army, so that definitely stacks the odds against us,” says Hutcherson of his role in Red Dawn. “But it does help to have a superhero on your side,” joked Josh about his co-star Chris Hemsworth, who plays Thor in the Disney comic movie.
During the extra time brought by the distributor for pushing back the release date, the filmmakers re-edited and digitally altered the film. Josh explains, “Originally it was the Chinese [we were fighting against to],” Hutcherson says. “And then there was the thought that the Chinese own most of the companies making movies and that maybe it wasn’t the best idea in the world.”
We can’t wait to watch this movie in theaters! What about you?
