Jennifer Lawrence joins new film ‘Ends of the Earth’

According to Variety, Jennifer Lawrence is now attached to lead the romantic drama Ends of the Earth. Jenn will play in the film a woman who has adopted as a child and later in her life becomes the wife of his foster father. More details below:
Written by Chris Terrio (“Argo”) and based on the lives of Ernest and Lydie Marland, story follows the controversial love affair between an oil baron and his adopted daughter, which destroys the empire they built together.
Lawrence is attached to play Lydie, an educated, headstrong woman who was adopted as a girl by her aunt Virginia and uncle Ernest. She later becomes their adopted daughter and eventually becomes Ernest’s wife. Urging him to raise workers’ wages and give them unpredecented access to medical care, she earns the nickname the “princess of the prairies.”
The film is being produced by Escape Artists, and The Weinstein Company is in final negotiations to acquire rights to the movie. Production is aimed to start next summer.
This sounds like a very interesting project, and we’ll sure keep a close eye to it!
