Isabelle Fuhrman lands leading role in upcoming horror film, ‘Suspiria’
Variety reports that Isabelle Fuhrman, known between Hunger Games fans for playing tribute Clove, has landed the leading role in the remake of the horror film Suspiria. The film will be directed by David Gordon Green.
Dario Argento’s 1977 horror pic followed Suzie, a young girl who travels to Europe to attend a world-renowned school, only to learn that the academy is a front for a coven of witches.
Green is directing from a script he co-wrote with Chris Gebert. Crime Scene Pictures principals Adam Ripp and Rob Paris are producing with Francesco Melzi d’Eril of Memo Films and “I Am Love” helmer Luca Guadagnino of First Sun.
This won’t be Isabelle‘s first role in a horror film, since she starred in 2009’s Orphan. Production for Suspiria will begin this September.
