Barrington Area Library to hold Hunger Games readings, themed activities and special programs

Posted on by

The Barrington Area Library has announced its second annual One Book One Barrington community reading event, including the book selected for this year’s events: The Hunger Games! One Book One Barrington is a special program released last year in which a book title is chosen and, during a month-time, community readings, themed activities and interactive programs are held in the Library, based on the selected book.

The event starts-off with a give-away of the book on February 1st so people can read it and, near the end of the month, reunite to discuss the material. The discussions will take place on three different locations, starting February 24:

Friday, February 24, 2 PM: Cook Street Coffee, Barrington
Tuesday, February 28, 7 PM: Anna Shea Chocolates & Lounge, South Barrington
Wednesday, February 29, 7 PM: Barrington Area Library

IMPORTANT: Registration is required, so if you’re planning attendance click the link of the discussion you’d like to go to.

The library is also bringing professional chefs, survivalists and authors to give special conferences on cupcake decoration, expedition survival and how to start plotting your own novel! Go ahead to the official page of the event to get the exact schedule, and if you do make it to any event, tell us about it!
