ABC Family gets The Hunger Games television rights!

Just a few days before the release of The Hunger Games in theaters, BroadcastingCable.com is exclusively reporting that the Disney-owned cable channel, ABC Family, has bought the rights to the film.
ABC Family will be able to broadcast the movie 30 months after its theater release, which would make for a fall 2012 TV debut. The ABC Family channel owns the TV rights of other hugely popular films, and is famous for doing (several times a year) Harry Potter marathons, so it’s possible that in the future we’ll have our own Hunger Games marathons!
Thanks to Hypable for the tip!
