Liam’s “Paranoia” gets distributor and release date: Relativity Media will release it on September, 2013

As we reported a few weeks ago, Liam Hemsworth will appear next year in an espionage thriller alongside Oscar-nominated actors Gary Oldman and Harrison Ford. The film has now an American distributor: Relativity Media announced that it has acquired U.S. rights to market and distribute the IM Global’s film directed by Robert Luketic.

In this high-stakes thriller, Adam Cassidy (Liam Hemsworth) is a charming, blue collar guy trying to get ahead in his entry-level job at Wyatt Telecom. But after one costly and illegal mistake, Adam is confronted by ruthless CEO Nicholas Wyatt. He won’t turn Adam in under one condition: Adam must agree to infiltrate the competition as a corporate spy. Adam soon finds himself packaged for success, surrounded by glamorous boardrooms, expensive cars, and a life he only dreamed of. But behind the scenes, Wyatt is pulling the strings – stopping at nothing, even murder, to win a multi-billion dollar advantage. Realizing he’s nothing more than a pawn in his boss’s ruthless game, Adam’s only way out – is to go in deeper.

The screenplay was written by Jason Dean Hall (Spread) from a previous draft by Barry Levy (Vantage Point), based on the novel Paranoia by Joseph Finder. “Paranoia is a gripping story and we’re excited to add the project to our growing slate bolstered by this stellar cast. We look forward to working with our partners IM Global on bringing this film to audiences everywhere,” said Relativity’s President, Tucker Tooley.

Production is expected to begin this summer and the film will release in theatres on September 27, 2013. What do you think? Are you excited for this new project of Liam?

Could Catching Fire production be relocated from North Carolina to Georgia?

Thanks to Hypable, this piece of news have came to our attention. North Carolina news reporter Russ Bowen, who has previously reported on the Hunger Games filming, tweeted yesterday that there’s a possibility that the Catching Fire production will be moved from North Carolina and could be heading to Atlanta.

According to Bowen, there’s a “strong possibility” that the soundstage and production offices for Catching Fire will relocate to a warehouse east of Atlanta, due to tax purposes. This relocation of the soundstage doesn’t mean some exterior shoots cannot be done in North Carolina, though, specially for scenes involving the Seam and the Hob. No official word has been released by Lionsgate; we’ll keep you posted.

Suzanne Collins on Forbes’ “10 Rising Stars to Watch” list

Forbes recently published this year’s Celebrity 100 list, and while Hunger Games author Suzanne Collins didn’t made the list, Forbes included her as one of the 10 Rising Stars to Watch.

Author Suzanne Collins has a good chance of making the list next year. There are more than 36 million copies of her Hunger Games trilogy in print and the film based on the first book has earned $620 million at the global box office. Collins will get a tiny slice of the profit from the film but it could be enough to land her on our list.
